Gas detection system

The gas detection system belongs to tehnical safety systems intended for detection of hazardous gases and vapours to prevent their accumultaion in dangerous quantities.

The gas detection system is primarily used for warning and supervision over facilities where there is a possibility of explosive or toxic concentration of gases and vapors being created in the air, which can be very hazardous to health and can cause extensive material damage. At the same time it is used for leakage controll of refrigerants which can cause global warming or ozone depletion.

The supervision entails early and reliable detection of dangerous concentrations and using sound and/or light signals, remote monitors or telephone detectors as alarms. It also includes possible automatic shutdown of the power supply system, turning on forced ventilation etc.
